Highlights of 2012

Introduced new sheep milk cheeses: Old Smokie, Appalachian Smokehouse/Applewood Smoked, & Wild Mountain Thyme. www.goodshepherdcheese.com

Mom and I attended a lambing class to prepare for lambing season.

Had 70 lambs...too many to spotlight each of them.


We had several visitors this past year.  This school group came from Winchester Christian Academy.
Demonstrating the process of taking raw wool and turning it into yarn.
Little Daniel was a member of the little lambs club this year. He visited the farm with his parents.
These three ladies traveled to the farm for a visit after reading our article in Kentucky Monthly.
Our family from Powell county and Nebraska came to visit.

KET came to the farm to film us for an episode of their show Kentucky Life. A month or so later we were also visited by Tim farmer who did a cooking show on the CW about Good Shepherd Cheese.
My brother Adam even came in and helped do some feedings.

Leeland Jude Dotson arrived September 30th.
Made and sold lots of sheep milk soap.

Dad and I even conquered making candles.
The whole family got to celebrate Christmas together.
